We took a chance. On the last day of September Buddy and I headed out for our stroll in our area. We were awed at the massive clouds overhead.
In the snap above, to the left of the school, there appears to be water surrounded by distant hills but it's only a mirage.
Though ready to burst it seems these clouds were not quite ready. The rain held off till much later that eve.
These storm cloud images were so magnificent yet ominous at the same time. Buddy's words to describe them," WOW. Cool!"
Then last night as October arrived, the rain finally poured down. And with that came very strong cold winds. Our temperature had not risen above 8C(48F) by 2 pm even though the sun is shining brightly. We won't stroll in those gusty cold blasts today. We aren't ready to face the cooler weather yet but we're working on it.

Winter arrived here today as well-at least, it's what western Oregon calls winter. I hate it. I would move in a heartbeat if the decision were mine alone.
awesome clouds. i like the view of the 2nd shot, the trees are magnificent. it is 60F here in Florida this morning which rarely happens here. the next 2 months would be great for buddy to visit the circus, weather wise,
Love the look of an angry sky, as long as I am somewhere safe. Nice shots. It was 35 this AM and I am loving it. This past summer was brutal.
those photos are so impressive!
love them all!
dropping by sandra's blog to say hi!

Lovely phtos. I love the drama of the clouds. We have had cooler weather here in the desert--in the 50s--so unusual for this time of year! But, I am loving it as it makes me think of autumn days in Virginia! Hope you are doing well.

I also love to watch storm clouds, and enjoy storms when I'm cozy inside! Great photos!
