History

The tree in my header sits by the church depicted in the last post. Look carefully and you can see through it's trunk! This tree is over 500 years old. That it remains standing is a mystery. What could it tell us if we knew how to communicate with it in a way that works for us? There must be a lot of history in it's past.

This is a very interesting, as well as a very old, tree. I can see the daylight on the other side.

That is before the days of Robin Hood and his merry men. It is before the Europeans came to America and began ruining things...

It has witnessed history for sure and wouldn't it be nice to be able to go up to the tree, close your eyes and ask it to see a particular year and it would reveal that year?

Is where I get my pens and ink. I ordered their ink last summer instead of Parker Inks or any other brand. I am still using it.

Such a wonderful old tree! I am visiting via Sandi at Flying Into The Light. I enjoy your blog, and have enjoyed learning about your tips and family. I hope to visit again soon!

Wow---what a gorgeous old tree, Heidi... I'd love to know more about it and its history... If trees could talk, that one would have alot to say, wouldn't it????
Hugs,
Betsy

It's amazing that it's still standing - and looking so healthy! Will I look as good at 500? Somehow, I doubt it:)

Amazing tree on the header! I love big old trees! I have a post I will do soon on big old trees, even though it's centered in Va and we are now in Az.
