Soft and Fluffy

It's St. Nicholas Day today and the weather here has brought us the gift of our first snowfall.
It's very loose and covers everything in such gorgeous white piles. Now I'm really feeling like the festive season is here. Time to get ready for a lot of fun. But first we'll need to dig out the snow shovels.

Yes, we have snow coming down now but it is called "snow showers" here as they come and go. Nothing deep like in your pictures.

Our day has been similar--fluffy snow, ots of it.

Now that is a proper snow. I am so envious. I lived in Florida so long that falling flakes brings out the 6 year old in me.
We are cold enough, just no pretty stuff yet.

Fresh snow is always beautiful. I like the way it's covered the patio furniture in your photo. I'm not sure I'm ready for this much snow down here, however.
